Steps to audition

Updated info is highlighted in red.

1. (Optional): If you’re interested but want to learn more before committing, come to a club meeting or the audition workshop:

2. Sign up for a time slot on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the PAC (Performing Arts Center, B109). Individual auditions are during tutorial time and after school in the PAC on Tuesday, January 23rd from 1:30-6:30 pm, and in room C119 on Wednesday, January 24th from 1:30-2:15 pm and 3-5 pm.

3. Fill out the audition form before your audition (see the link on this page)—have your calendar available while completing it, as it lists important dates you’d need to be available like tech rehearsals and performances

4. Prepare a 1–2 minute monologue for your individual audition. It can be dramatic or comedic. It’s not required, but it would be ideal if it’s from an American play from the first half of the 20th century (1900s – 1950s).

5. Complete your individual audition (make sure to arrive early so you have time to prepare)

6. Clear your calendar to be available for callbacks, if needed. Not all students who receive a part will necessarily be needed at callbacks, so don’t get super worried if you’re not called back. You can review the callback scenes ahead of time here.

a. Acting callbacks: Wednesday, January 24th from 2:00pm – 5:00pm in room C119;
