Ashland Trip

In the past, the RHS Drama program has provided the opportunity for students to travel to Ashland, Oregon for a 3-day event to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. This is a professional theatre founded in 1935. Their season runs from February through early November, and encompasses three theatres. For 2013, there is Shakespeare, musicals, classics and three world premiere plays.

Going to Ashland provides students with a great view of professional acting up close with multiple plays and workshops, and tours all in a 3 day period. Redmond Drama Boosters are planning on this trip this year on May 2-5. (May 3 is a LEAP day, school is not in session).

All students interested in attending must sign up and pay the deposit ($175) by February 9. The rest will be due in April.

In an effort to keep our costs down, RHS Drama Boosters will be subsidizing the trip. If we can get 36 people to sign up the cost will be $375.00 per person and includes:
  • 3 nights hotel (4 students per room)
  • 4 meals (3 breakfasts, 1 dinner)
  • All ticket prices for shows, prologue, and workshops
  • Bus transportation
