Remembering the RHS Performing Arts Staff who have left their mark on Redmond High School Drama.

ANDY ROBERTSON

Pit Orchestra Director
1992-2022

Andy Robertson was the Director of Bands at RHS for 30+ years. In addition to leading the various RHS bands and ensembles, Mr. Robertson conducted the pit orchestra for RHS musicals. His pit orchestras often received top honors at the 5th Avenue Theatre Awards. He was an outstanding music educator and mentor for multiple generations of band and drama students alike. He was famous for his jokes and puns that kept his students groaning. Andy loved what he did and he cared deeply for each of his students.

Ruth Barton

Technical Director and Theatre Manager
2003-2022

PAC icon Ruth Barton served as RHS Theatre Manager and Technical Director for 18 years. She taught her students the ins and outs of all aspects of technical theatre. Light, sound, and set design... Fly rail, spotlights, mics, props… How to build sets and use power tools, how to operate the light and sound board, how to call a show... She mentored, inspired, and pushed students to be the best they could be. She ran a tight ship and kept everyone safe. Above all, she loved her students fiercely. 

Anna-Lisa Notter

Director
2018-2019

Anna-Lisa Notter served as RHS Drama Director for one year, directing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ms. AL is known for her creative spirit and her positive, upbeat attitude.

Brian Toews

Director
2017-2018

Brian Toews served as RHS Drama Director for one year, directing The Music Man.

Misty Doty

Director
2006-2017

Misty Carson Doty served as RHS Drama Director for 11 years. She had a strong belief in her students' abilities and provided outstanding opportunities for student leadership, often with award-winning results. Some of the shows she directed include Chicago, RENT, Once on this Island, Singin' in the Rain, Legally Blonde, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wedding Singer, Pippin, Urinetown, How to Eat Like a Child, and Oklahoma.

Sharon Pape

Director
1990-2006

Sharon Pape served as RHS Drama Director for 16 years. She started as the drama teacher at Redmond Junior High in 1978. In 1990, the two programs merged. During her time at RHS, she directed far too many shows to list, but some highlights include Bye Bye Birdie, John Lennon and Me, Noises Off, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver, The Man Who Came to Dinner, It's a Wonderful Life, Robin Hood, and Cinderella
