Our drama teacher

Meet Mr. Garth Ball

I'm a theatre director/educator and I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the thriving drama community at Redmond High School! I've spent the past several years teaching theatre, film, and language arts at Risdon Middle School while freelancing in the evenings. Some of my favorite projects include directing Comedy of Errors at Seattle Lutheran High School, sound design for The Learned Ladies at UW, composing original music for Eurydice at Seattle U, lighting design for Frozen JR. with Youth Theatre Northwest, and directing Songs for a New World at Lindbergh High School.

Last summer I also had a blast playing Nick Bottom in an outdoor production of A Midsummer Night's Dream with Emerald Theatre! I also dabble in film directing and editing, mostly in the horror genre--one film I directed, Somnambulant, was part of the Seattle 48 Hour Film Horror Project.

When I'm not onstage, backstage, or in the classroom, some of my hobbies include reading, jamming on my electric piano, riding my bike, and playing/dungeon-mastering D&D!

Many thanks to the local businesses who continue to support RHS Drama. Let's support them in return!
