Welcome new families

how to get involved with rhs drama

This page is designed as a resource to help students/families who are new to RHS get involved with RHS Drama.

For students, the student-run Drama Club is a link to connect with their peers and get information about things like shows and student-organized activities, like Open Mic Night and Redmond Sees, for example (see Events for more info).

For parents, we have the parent-run Drama Boosters that supports our students and the theatre program. Drama Boosters and parent volunteers are involved with things like creating show programs, offering meals/snack for students during shows, selling concessions and fundraising to help purchase things for the drama department. We even offer scholarships to seniors.

Get Involved (Students)

Get Connected

Check out the Drama Club and Student Thespians page for information about connecting with the student groups.

Auditions

Auditions are open to all RHS students, including part-time and full-time Running Start students. Although each audition can be slightly different, we've put together some general info about how auditions work here at RHS.

Tech

Technical theatre is a crucial part of every production. Tech students are responsible for lights, sound, set, props, costumes, and much more.  Learn more about getting involved with Tech theatre here.

Current Shows and Can't Miss Dates

Looking for info about which shows are being performed, how you can get involved, and when and where you need to go? Our "On Stage" page contains the most current info.

Stay Informed

Looking for a general overview of what to expect from the RHS Drama program? Check out this brief overview of how shows work here at RHS.

Because Drama is an extracurricular and not a "class," communication can be tricky, so watching social media is important if you want to stay informed.

Follow Redmond HS Drama on Instagram for updated info, as well as events and activities.

Get Involved (Parents)

RHS Drama Boosters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization of parents dedicated to supporting Theatre Arts at Redmond High School. There are a number of resources on this site to learn more about how you can support your student's involvement in the RHS drama program.

General Info

Learn more about the Redmond Drama Boosters (who we are, what we do and how you can help us support theatre arts at RHS) on the Parent Boosters page.

Volunteering

One of the most important things you can give is time. Whether you have an hour or two to give during Show Week, an hour or two a month, or more(!), we are happy to have your help. Learn more about how to volunteer with us.

Staying Informed

Attend our meetings, join Booster Hub, sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media for the most up-to-date info. You'll find meeting dates on our Calendar page.

Because Drama is an extracurricular and not a "class," communication can be tricky; watching our newsletters and social media is critical to get information.
